Fiesta Brew kits

My stockpile of beer ran a bit low due to the grain issue. If I threw on a few batches of the Fiesta Brew, would they live up to All-Grain goodness. Clearly I understand these are pre-fabbed, non-custom, but are they good?

The manager at NG says that they are pure all-grain with no lurking adjuncts, but I'd like to hear from someone who has tasted them. I'm not interested in having 5g of something less than good.

I've had a few of those kits in the past. They are very good... for kits.
Nothing like your IIPA, but as I said at the meeting, it's all about the demand vs supply formula.  The lower my supply the lower my threshold of happy is!
I'd recommend a little dry hopping to give them a kick, if you've got the hops on hand.

I've thought about trying their single hop series and at the rate I'm burning through hops I may have to.

The night where we all got very merry on IPA over here was their West Coast IPA + some dry hops. I'd happily endorse the quality of the end result, done right (as did both Brian_S and Kyle :P) -- treat it like anything else you'd make yourself post-boil.

Obviously for the price (~50 bucks after tax) it's pretty much as costly as extract brewing, but imho the quality is better.

With that price, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy the grains and hops you need for a few batches from NG?

Well, that West Coast IPA was very good. I've actually got all the grains / hops / other stuff needed to churn out about about 6 batches now. The problem I'm encountering now is since I didn't brew for a month and a half due to lack of grain, I ran low, and its quite time consuming to brew AG. I'll see how this weekend goes If I can churn out a couple batches then that's great, otherwise that Festa Brew may be the stop gap... I will hovewer tap my long term storage keg of Cider (October 2010) to see if it is at its peak yet.

Brother in law makes these all the time. He doesn't want to deal with AG at the moment.

They're really good IMHO. So far, we've agreed the red and the continental pils are the best.
