So I had some business to do in gaspésie wednesday so I took the opportunity to stock up on some beer and planned to stop at the Le Naufrageur brewpub in Carleton.  The place is a really nice and cosy, kinda feels like a big cabin lodge.  I wish I had my cam to take pics but forgot it home :(  If you happen to pass by, make sure to stop there.  It's a really cool place.   The Raccoon and will be interesting, a 10% imperial black ipa at 85 ibu :)

Here are a couple of pics of the beer purchased.  Mostly Belgian's + most of Le Naufrageur offerings.

I should be good for a couple of months now :)

Nice haul! Is that the 2011 release of Samichlaus? Did you happen to grab the Trois Mousquetaires Baltic Porter as well? That's my favourite from their lineup and one of my favourite beers that I've had in the last year or so.

it's the 2010

the baltic porter is the only beer from them that I havn't tasted yet and the one I want to try the most!  everyone rave about this beer but everywhere I go they're out of stock.  I think it's brewed once a year (september iirc) so it's a bit limited too

If you ever happen to be in Halifax, stop by Premier Wines and Spirits. It's been on the shelves there pretty regularly since the fall.

I just wish our local liquor stores carried some lambics. I don't mind mort subite kriek, but I prefer cantillion. What I'd really like to see at the ANBL though is Lindemanns Pomme.
Primary: #1, 2, 3, 4 (Air, Air, Air, Air)
Kegs     #1, 2, 3, 4 (C02, C02, C02, C02)

my favorties are Lindemanns.  I also wish ANBL would carry lambics but I think it will take a long time before we see some on the shelves hehe   At least we have Orval :)

Duchesse is a new one for me; I'm curious how this one will taste like.  Suppose to be on the sweet side tho...

I plan on starting a flanders red sometimes after the summer, so that I can have more on hand!  :wavebeer:

Man, that's great! Never got a chance to taste any of these yet, but I'm still early into my beer connoisseur career! :-D Cheers, Mr. Savoie.
"He was a wise man who invented beer." - Attributed to Plato. Whether or not Plato actually said that remains to be proven. However, the statement itself is axiomatic.

Planned: Cincinnati Pale Ale.

That Duchesse is an awesome beer, I can toss up my tasting notes on it if you want, Jamie. Although I've noticed considerable difference from batch to batch...

Wow, that's an amazing collection of beer.
I've had that Marzen in the first pic and it took me a while to drink - so smokey. They have it at the Garrison.
Rochefort 8 - very nice.
Did you pick up a St-Ambroise Imperial Stout? (last picture, one of the bottles in the rear in the tube)
Pit Caribou - Cool. They make it right there in the Gaspesie.
Leffe Brune is good to have on hand as well. Wish they would carry that at NBLC. You can get it at the Irving Big Stop in RivduLoup for chrissake.

Well we live on the qc border so it's a great for that.  Plus it's cheaper!  You must pass by cabano (and rivière-bleu, dégelis or rivière du loup) once in awhile I guess so make a stop at the saq next time.  Also IGA in cabano have a nice selection (cheap unibroue) and the Dep Proprio Beaulieu
Ps: Mr. is for my father ;)

Tom, that would be cool.  I could share my comments with you afterward

Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier is pretty intense indeed but pairs really nice with smoked pork or bbq!  perfect for the summer :)
Rochefort was to put me in the mood tonight while brewing my The Number 8 recipe (NB's version of 8)
The St-Ambroise is the 2011 Vintage which is a barleywine.
Leffe Brune/Blonde is one of my "cheap" craft beer hehehe  Can't go wrong at 12$/6pack!  I think  you can also get it at the NB/QC border but usually I buy it in cabano
