Kveik and more
« on: August 24, 2018, 05:08:21 PM »
In a thread awhile ago, I mentioned I was going to receive some kveik yeasts and I was wondering if anyone else beside @feldmann and @robcoombs would be interested in some. I also got a few other cool yeasts if interested. I paid those 7$ each, I’ll sell them 3$ each or trade for homebrew  8)

Kveik:
Hornindal
Midtbust
Simonaitis

Others:
Bootleg Biology - Saison parfait
Escarpment - Fruit Bomb Saison
Brewlab Mega Blend 2017
BBXBRU1 – The Brülosophy Blend
Flore du Québec (saison type wild yeast captured by Pit Caribou)

I would absolutely love to try a lot of those yeasts!

Unfortunately I took a long break from brewing this year and most of my yeast bank died off, but I'm slowly building it back up. I have Hornidal which I'm planning to brew with next week.

I have some old bottles from a beer I brewed a little less than 2 years ago with HotHead and TYB Voss Kveik. I didn't like how the beer turned out so I let them sit to see if they'd improve and...they did not, lol. I might try to see if I can salvage the yeast from the bottles instead of straight dumping them.
