Pumpkin beers - getting good flavour, what do you do?
« on: September 13, 2014, 10:13:14 AM »
Its that time of year again!

I'm going to brew a maple pumpkin ale, using sap and basing my recipe around Brew's very tasty ale:
http://nbcba.org/forum/tried-and-true/brew%27s-pumkin-spiced-ale/ which is the best pumpkin beer I've had.

What are your experiences with making pumpkin beers? Aroma is easily retained, flavour is not.

x2 on Brews being the best pumpkin ale ... I love the flavour of adding the spice rum to the keg.
