I just saw this I thought it was quite an interesting idea. Not sure how the cleaning would be after fermentation and if the element would be ok to leave in for the ferment. But interesting idea none the less.

That's interesting for sure. One of the guys on the Brewnoser forum bought one, here's a lengthy discussion on the rig and cleaning it:

At $1,434 it's quite pricey, especially when you read the fine print:
***Water Heating Element, 240V Power Box, Electronic Temperature Controller, Hop Basket and Temperature Controlling Valve are sold separately.

Since the fermenter is also the kettle, I guess you can only brew again once the fermentation is done? Forget Lagers :frazzled:
I'd rather split them up in two 5 gal batches with different dry hops yeast anyway.
Not for me...

Oh yea defiantly pricey and I prefer the set up I've got but I thought it was an interesting idea though. I thought about pitching my yeast in the boil pot after chilling it a while ago but never went through with it. Obviously I'm not the first one to have that idea.

One less thing to clean and sanitize!
I've heard of people doing that, not much different than a bucket with a loose lid really.
