Scottish 60/-
OG: 1.034

6lbs. (2.7kg) pale 2row
6oz flaked barley
3.2 oz Special B malt (or Caramunich 120)
1.6 oz pale chocolate malt
1.6 oz roasted barley
.6oz of Fuggles @ 75 (4.5% AA)

Mash @ 153 for 60 mins  (3.1L per kg)
75 min boil.

Wyeast 1728 (although I had none so I used Fermentis S04)

So I stand corrected.  Its comes in at 2.9% ABV @ 75% efficiency with a hella fast turn around time (especially with the S04)

Yeah I'd noticed, although the hype seems justified from what I've sampled. Should probably stop pointing this out on every recipe though :P

I got to say having been in Scotland long enough to sample the various shilling grades, that I wouldn't compare them to a bitter. Much more malt-forward... I think I'm going to try my hand at a 70/- next to fill the time between now and when my saison yeast arrives :)
