Jealous :P

That grain can't get here soon enough... I might be forced to break my "two weeks 'til bottling" rule for my current (KISS Pale Ale) brew, and get it in bottles tomorrow. I used a metric shitload of yeast, so I suspect the normal conditioning might not apply. Will do a diacetyl force-test to be sure.

What temp have yours been fermenting at?
I have mine downstairs at 65F and it's still bubbling away, nowhere near kegging and we were brewing at the same time.
Of course you used the ringwood and i used the london esb, so that would be a big difference, too.

About 19.5C on average ambient temperature (18-21 according to the thermometer on the wall), so I guess 67F-ish.

Aye, mine stopped bubbling a couple of days ago but I wasn't exaggerating when I said I used a shitload of yeast. I had some washed yeast (S05) in a bottle that I used - roughly 250ml of compact yeast slurry, with 250ml water I poured off. This is a pretty hefty over-pitch, I suspect, and will have led to the seriously reduced primary times.

As mentioned, I ended up using S05, so I'd expect the ester profile in yours to be a little more prominent. Nothing major, though.

I can cover the vienna, but you'll need to get the yeast.

I have to say, this is extremely good beer.

Too bad it's empty, I'd love to have direct compared it to the version I just finished...Day 5 today, it's clearing nicely and I might just shoot for 7 days to the tap as well, gravity is down to 1010.

Well, When I get moved into my new place in August, I think this will be the first one I brew. What I really liked about this one is that the 6 week rule for my standard 12# batch did not apply. With the light grain bill and low hoppage, it was at peak at 2.5-3 weeks from brewday.

Kyle and I just shared a bit of my version of this,
the mods were in the hops (doubling and subbing)...

1 oz Nugget leaf @ 60 min
1 oz Willamette leaf @ 15 min
1 oz Willamette leaf @ 1 min

My version seems to have received the approval of the original author, it will be available for tasting tomorrow.

I'll be brewing this one yet again today. I'm glad I can do 10gal at once now, this beer always goes quick. I'll leave the bittering hops at their current level, but double the flavour and aroma amounts.

I'm on my last keg of it now from the first 13.5 gallon brewing of it...I think I might try upping it to an 18 gallon batch and do it early next week.
I have a 4 way spunding connector now that worked well 3 ways on my Hoppy Porter, so I'm going to give it a go and see how it goes. Maybe follow it up with 4 different dry hoppings. That'll go a long way to making the summer cruise on by.

We should have some US-05 by Wednesday HH. I believe there is some coming with the grain order.

JohnQ

I'm out of 5 and have lots of 4 now, so I'm in the same boat!
