Looks like an "igloo" cooler... $40 is a great price especially for the large 10gal one.

I picked up an old McDonald's one from Kijiji and converted it with a false bottom... Works great, they are very well insulated. I only lose 1-2 degrees F. over 60 minute mash in mine and that's usually from taking the top on/off.

You can get hops from OBK for ten bucks a pound. If he has ten pounds of wet hops that gives you about 2 pounds dry. So that's 20 bucks for 2 pounds of pellet hops that you know what your getting. Or you could pay 20 bucks to spend a couple hours picking and cutting you forearms up for unknown hop varieties. I'd offer to pick them for free and in return put the leftovers in the compost for him. As a matter of fact that's exactly what I did yesterday. I was at a the same customers house who gave me my hersbrucker hops three years ago and told me I could have all his hops because he was no longer using them. So I picked 10 pounds and cut down all the vines for him and put them in his compost heap. He was thrilled not to have to deal with the mess and I was happy to get the hops.
Fair deal in my opinion!
But then again I'm cheep as hell.

If anyone wants this, it's yours.
It was given to me and I never used it... It's been in my way for too long.

Easy to carry but a real PITA to clean. Might be good to store grains/malt in?

Is it soft plastic? Might be good for a no-chill experiment.
