Hey Guys, Im putting together a kegerator for a buddy of mine and ive been trying to track down a freezer temperature controller... I know I could order one from ebay... hopdawgs have a pretty expensive one, I ordered mine from hopdawgs for 60 bucks but I cant find that one on their site now... any other options locally? Let me know if you have any info!

This should work http://www.ebay.ca/itm/220930466567?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_4001wt_1076

It's can handle 10 apms.  I have one for my fermentation chamber controlling a mini fridge and a box heater.  Works great.

I have the same one as Chris.  If you need one in a hurry, I can sell you mine and order another, I won't need it until the Summer.

DandyMason

Hey Chriscraig, I was lookin at those, they not too bad to hook up?

Chrismccul, I MAY have tracked one down, but I really appreciate the offer and I will definitely keep that in mind, will keep you posted! thanks!

Yeah these things seem to be pretty tough to come by.

Richard

I got one of those, they work great and are real simple to hook up.

They're not too bad.  Here's the thread I posted when I built mine: http://nbcba.org/forum/index.php?topic=1126.0

If you need some help, let me know, and I'll give you a hand building it.

Told Dan already, but the controller that he thought they do not carry is just in the kegging and draft section ... not in the thermometer and controller section, which is strange lol.

60 bucks. I have one and works just fine. Thinking about getting another in the coming days for a fermentation chamber

Yeah Thanks Jake

Really happy with that one for sure.

Major bummer - ordered this one (just one output, not two)

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-AC110V-Digit ... 460253e733

Seems "broken" - only 15.99 but still, takes weeks to get another one...

Weird, display works fine, but when the "Work" led lights up, and the relay "clicks" on, there's still 0 voltage output... I even measured direct on the relay out pins and 0 voltage there as well. I wonder if its even possible to get the cover off the relay and look at the insides of it?

That one looks the same as mine... you sure you've wired it to the right terminals? Mine has one for heating and one for cooling. Also it's not powering from the input power to the terminals - the terminals are just switches. You're looking for conduction across them, not power.

Good price if it is the same one. Find it hard to believe someone would make a clone of an existing cheap Chinese product :P

Yeah same Chinese type product, but mine only has one output, not two like yours and Chris's. You guys can hook up both a heater and a freezer to yours and either one can switch on to keep the temp constant. Mine has to be set in either cooling mode or heating mode, it only does one or the other... only one choice for connecting a load to mine...

So you've got power going into the thing, and then another circuit switched by the relay on the box?

Yeah so there's a black box controller on the board, labelled 120volt. Power in terminals are labeled "power" and you can see the connection to the controller on the board. Beside that is the relay. Power out pins (labeled with "o-/ o" for the relay) are connected to the output side of the relay. The only other pins are the chinese labeled pins that you're not supposed to hook anything up to, and the pins for the temp sensor, which is working great... bummer... when I looked at yours last week, I saw you had some extra pins - one set for heating, one set for cooling, if I saw correctly... Chris's is the same...
