Sorry for the downtime yesterday. Our provider was undergoing some hardware replacement, and things went sideways. They've reverted the server to its previous state, so I'm not sure what that means for the near future as far as outages. We've expressed our displeasure at the lack of notice for this, and hopefully we don't have a similar experience in the future.

Yeah, we shouldn't notice much of a difference here though.

Site does seem a little faster, but it might be subjective or intermittant. I had delays on the "Unread Posts" of 1-2 seconds before, now it's <0.2s.

There are new, faster drives on a proper Raid controller now. So, you could be right about the speed.

Also you may wish to put out a mail asking people to refresh the page if they still get DNS loop errors.
