I know 20 US gallons works, but what about a little more? I may be able to squeak ~23g out of the new system in terms of sheer volume, if I can get a good boil on it.

I can get a nice rolling boil on 27-28gal.  If I had to guess 30+ gal with a 5500W element.

Kegged: air.
Primary: air.
Bulk Aging: Silence of the Lambics (Pitched 13/05/2012).
Owed: JQ LSA x 1, Kyle Stout x 1 & IPA x 1.

Temp starts at roughly 160F and takes roughly 30 minutes to boil...maybe less...I'll have to time it next time.
it's not all that bad with a 5500W element.  I had a 4500W and it just took too long.

good to know. I found 4500 watts just fine for 10 US gallons, but I imagine it would take forever with 20g.
