0.25 lbs Pale Chocolate; Crisp
0.25 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L
0.50 lbs Coffee Malt
0.25 lbs American Caramel 120°L

1 oz Hallertau (Pellets, 4.50 %AA) boiled 60 min

Yeast : Fermentis S-04 Safale S-04

Original Gravity 1.050
Terminal Gravity 1.012
Color 19.35 °SRM
Bitterness 22.9 IBU
Alcohol (%volume) 5.0 %

Coffee Malt Belgium Features: Belgian coffee malt. Taste development at up to 220°C. Usage: Stouts, porters, and stingily in brown ales for hints of fresh roasted coffee. Recommended proportion: 5%. Characteristics: Imparts a rich coffee flavour and aroma to beers. Adds complexity to any dark ale. It also reinforces the color of the beer.

Actual recipe I brewed at the bachelor party we hit 80% efficiency with Gils direct fire mash
It hit 100% within the style guidlines for an american brown ale (with english yeast and hops :P)


10 lbs Canadian 2-Row Malt; Canada Malting
0.1875 lbs American Caramel 60°L
0.1875 lbs Crystal 120; Crisp
0.375 lbs Coffee Malt; Castle Malting
0.1875 lbs American Chocolate Malt

1.0 oz Fuggle (Pellets, 4.75 %AA) boiled 60 min

Yeast : Fermentis S-04 Safale S-04

Original Gravity 1.062
Terminal Gravity 1.015
Color 18.45 °SRM
Bitterness 23.7 IBU
Alcohol (%volume) 6.2 %

I may Dry hop with some US Goldings but going to taste the wort before adding I want the Coffee/chocolate and crystal malts to be the star It should be very close to Garissons Nut Brown ale

Sampling a bottle of this not still not 100% carbed yet but fizzy very yummy but the 6.5% ABV sure packs a punch at 9AM in the morning :P

Yes it is still needs id say 2-3 days more carbing then to the fridge it goes
