Hi guys, I'm back :-) Still have no grain till order comes in. I may owe my entire order for repayment if I'm not careful ;-) Speaking of which, if we do place another order, I am in. Does anyone have the following...?

10 lbs Belgian Pilsner (or similar)
2 lb Belgian biscuit
4 oz. crystal (40)
4 oz. Special B

Also looking for the following hops...

2 oz tattnanger (or equivalent)

My order to pay you back is the following...

Bohemian Pilsner (full bag)
Crystal 110 (40L) (2/10 bag)
Canadian 2-row (4/10)
Light Munich Malt (2/10)
Abbey Malt (2/10)

Thanks in advance!

It appears nobody has the above available to loan until the grain order arrives. Does anyone have anything close to my grain order they can spare until the order arrives?

Only thing I've got on that list is the C40, and I've only got a couple lbs left of that atm.

NP Richard - I really don't want anyone to dip into low reserves especially when I know we are coming close to an order. Actually, you already lent me some grains when I first joined the club and it's appreciated.

I'm in the same boat. Only crystal 40 until the order arrives, and I only have a couple pounds. Wish I could help.

Looks like we are all in the same boat. Also realizing my grain order was too small :-(

I'm thinking that the reason you've got no responders for ...

Belgian Pilsner (or similar)
Belgian biscuit
Special B

is that IIRC they aren't supplied by our wholesaler, and not part of our orders...am I right?

We can get regular Pilsner and Organic Pilsner (Weyermann), but I think John is right

Belgian Biscuit - I think you could make something darn close by putting some 2 row in the oven for 15mins at 350F.
Special B - CaraAroma is Weyermanns answer to Special B.

Thanks for the responses... yes I am totally happy to substitute grains. Here are some ideas...

10 lbs Belgian Pilsner substitute => Regular Pilsner
2 lb Belgian biscuit substitute => CaraAmber or similar
4 oz. crystal (40) substitute => something similar
4 oz. Special B substitute => CaraAroma

Hell, I have nothing on tap and only one beer in the line up, so I will take almost anything ;-) Necessity is the mother of invention. Serendipity is my friend... maybe whatever I can get will be the best beer I have ever made!? Who knows?
