Soldering soft copper

So my wort chiller is made up of three 20' lengths of 3/8" soft copper pipe. I tried compression fittings and then plastic hose with pipe clamps, still leaks between the lengths. What is the best way to solder soft copper, do they make elbows in that size, or do I need adaptors to 1/2"? The connections will be out of the water, hanging over the side of the pot. I have soldered the rigid copper many times, just not the soft stuff.

Home depot has 3/8" copper sleeves you can use to solder the ends together with... in the section with the copper fittings, on the far left side somewhere around belly button height I think...
