OK I gotta try this - there's no way its propane, must be natural gas or something like that?

Think it near pure alcohol. Like ethanol or isopropal or something along the likes.

Basically coat the interior, and the limited oxygen supply will create the condition with the vapors to create this.

Not sure how well it works for true sanitation though :P

blue flame ...that's most likely alcohol, or methane .... Stick the bung back in as soon as you drop the match ...hehehe

I usually fart in my carboys and light them on fire to sanitize ... anyone want to try my beer?

that must be the asswater to which richard is always referring .....

its got to be isopropyl alcohol. They used to do that as a special effect in the science centre on school trips when I was a kid.
