Went to use my stir plate that I bought from Hopdawgs tonight in anticipation to use my first ever starter, and the stir plate is broken. I could hear something rattling around in inside of it, so I took it apart to see what it was, and it looks to be all messed up.

Pretty pissed about the whole situation. I was so pumped to use it for the first time; drove all the way to scoop and save tonight at 9pm to buy some yeast. I'm guessing it was probably broken during shipping because this was the first time I had it out of the box.

Anyone in the group know how one of these things could be fixed? I see there's some sort of circuit board and some small wires that came detatched, so maybe it can be fixed? If anyone wants to take a crack at it, I'll bring it to the meeting tomorrow.

... if it can't be fixed, I'll need to check with Chris from Hopdawgs to see what the return policy on broken equipment is. Shitty situation.

Ah shit man, some days just take the piss. Cheer up, have some beer ;)

Probably best to just return that thing unless it's a terminal connection that's come loose. Post a pic maybe?
