How large of a boil pot can you use on an electric stove?  Mine is relatively new with an inside and outside burner.

Kyle

induction or standard?

Kyle

I use a 7.5 US gallon pot on the stove, but I had to insulate it with reflectix to get a good boil.

Thanks.

I'll buy a burner eventually, I'd prefer to work in the kitchen for now.

Richard

I use a 10gallon aluminium, never filled above 8gal, and I need to leave the lid 80% on to get a nice rolling boil.

Kegged: air.
Primary: air.
Bulk Aging: Silence of the Lambics (Pitched 13/05/2012).
Owed: JQ LSA x 1, Kyle Stout x 1 & IPA x 1.

I also have a 10gal aluminum pot and standard stove. Most I've had in boil is a little over 7gal and I get a roiling boil with top off, but takes a while to get there.
