Title: BC beers
Post by: nbmonte on July 19, 2017, 12:26:33 AM
Anybody familiar with or able to recommend any BC beers?  I'm in BC for a few days and am blown away by the selection. I'm currently enjoying Ode to Citra Pale Ale by Powell Brewery, which is very tasty, but I'm wondering if anybody knows of any must haves from the west coast?

I haven't had much from BC but the ones I had from here were all great:

@feldmann (http://nbcba.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1986) , this is your area... Any "must haves"?

Everything on blisster's list is really good, but I'll throw an extra big recommendation for Four Winds. Powell St. Brewery is really good. Heres a few more I really enjoy and look for:

- Yellow Dog
- Steel & Oak
- Strange Fellow
- Hoyne

If you're in Vancouver, try to make a stop at Brassneck. Last time I was in town they were only selling our of their tap roop and the occasional guest tap in town.

I enjoyed Townsite and Persephone while I was out there earlier this year. Brassneck and Main street Brewing in Vancouver were good spots to stop too.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I managed to find a few to try. My favourites were Steel & Oak and Driftwood. There were just too many different beers to try. The selection here is unreal.
