If you've been on the forum in the past couple of hours, you may have noticed some wonky behaviour. I've just installed 2 new mods.
1. Mentions - In any post/reply, you can "mention" a member by adding a @ before their user name. They'll be notified by email (this can be changed in settings). So, @Chris Craig (http://nbcba.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1174), notifies me that somebody mentioned me. The purpose of this mod is to draw the user's attention to a post without the need for a PM or waiting for them to get around to reading through all the new posts. If you just want to use a member's name instead of "mentioning" them, they'll get no email.
2. Alerts - There's now a Facebook style notification system. You'll notice the triangle icon up in the top info bar. You'll get an alert when you're mentioned, quoted, etc. This is configurable in settings as well.
Please let me know if you have any problems/questions.
The notifications seem to be a bit off, look what happens when I click the triangle at the top:

What browser are you using? Have you tried clearing your cache?
Chrome - Yes - It fixed it :)
Don't laugh too hard but what is a cache and how do I clear it?
What browser @Roger (http://nbcba.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1911)?
Yahoo
It'd be funnier if I didn't hear shit like this for real on a weekly basis :frazzled:
