Question (and be honest) - who has actually smelled a horse blanket? :|

Quick, someone fetch Steve a horse so he can put a blanket on it.

I have, long time ago.
DebQ would know the smell immediately, grew up riding.
If you have something you want her to test, bring it on Saturday.

My girlfriend grew up with and rides horses. I've smelled horses, but didn't actually dive into a horse blanket. From what my girlfriend just told me, they smell like horse sweat and stale hay.

:-)
I actually have smelled horse blankets. I find it interesting when I read beer reviews for Belgian and Sour beers, how many list "horse blanket" as one of the smells. I'm guessing few have actually smelled one. :?

I always assumed it to be the weird pepper/black-mold smell.

More of a horse sweat, hay, earthy, dungy, musty, wet blanket left in a barn kinda smell.
