Plastic conicals
« on: April 20, 2013, 01:03:13 PM »
Picked these up yesterday from HJV Equipment in Grand Falls. 30 gallons each. Tanks, stands and all fittings all under $600.

Here are the fittings.

- The top pieces make up the racking valve and tube. The 90 deg spigot is the rack arm. I will attach a tube to get proper length. Then the bulkhead. Then double male threaded nipple to attach to Banjo ball valve, then Then a 1/2" male threaded nipple to attach to racking hose.
- Bottom Unit is the lower dump valve. 2" to 1" reducer into a 1" double male threaded nipple into 1" valve. Then into a male threaded nipple to dump. I have both straight and 90 deg outlets.

These valves are only about $16.

I will disassemble and clean after each batch. Valves come completely apart for easy cleaning.

Very nice Steve.  MUCH cheaper than stainless!

They look great!

What are your plans for cleaning them?  CIP?

Right now I'm recirculating cleaner and spraying by hand, but I think I will get a CIP ball.

Good plan.  they will make your life a whole lot easier..though you're definitely into more $ for a good pump.

Are those conicals rated for a max temp?  just wondering if they are able to take higher temps for cleaning.
If not, it would just be a matter of recirculating for a longer period.
