This looks like a good site for electric brewing info, I thought some of you might find it useful.

yeah, I've read the whole site!

The information is top notch, and I especially appreciate its Canada-based, as materials sourcing is very different here than in the US.

It's had some serious hours of reading from the members here, my new system is based on his, with some mods. His electric controller is over the top, beautiful but wow is it expensive.  There are plenty of options that are more cost effective than that.  High Gravity has the EBC II and III, the II is what I've got with the Ranco Controllers, the III integrates the controllers but costs more than double the difference of the controllers, but even at that price it's a third of the Controller from electricrewery.  One of the reasons I went straight Blichmann was the electricbrewery site.

Just a word of caution to those thinking this is the be all/end all.  I've been talking to a few guys from MOB (The electric brewery guys is also a member) and at least one of them had serious concerns as to the quality of some of the parts being sold (electrocution kind of concerns).

Do your homework and for crap sakes consult a qualified electrician.

Just my 2 cents.

Brian, I bought the Electric Brewery build book and don't see anything lacking in the components.  They all meet voltage and current specs.  Maybe some of these concerns are just opinions on component manufacturers?

He also mentions in his documentation that a GFCI is mandatory for any electric brewery build, including his.

I do 100% agree with you though about doing your homework and seeking professional advice.

my 2 cents as well.
