Blichmann actually uses one of those indoors. It's in the BYO mag article he wrote about the perfect brew room.

They probably work really well, are you getting the leg extensions also?

Not right now.  I have a pump, so the height isn't really important for me right now. I just want a good burner.  Mine burns too rich so I get soot on everything. Lots of soot.

It would be nice to brew indoors, but I can't see it happening for me.

He includes all the formulas for exhaust and make up air to make it possible in the article. Quite interesting, if one wanted to go that way.

This burner is AWESOME!  It's so quiet, I can barely hear it. I can't wait to brew with it on Sunday.

I used this for the first time today.  It's awesome!  Lots of power, and super quite.  Good purchase!

Do you notice any increase in efficiency vs. a turkey frier?

It'll take some time to determine. I used to get about 4 brews from a tank with the old one. This is supposed to be quite a bit more efficient.

Did it make the bottom of your kettle black?

Not the Blichmann.  The flames on this are pale blue.  My old burner was always quite yellow.  Too rich.

perfect.  That's what I'm looking for.
Pretty silly that I've spent hundred and hundreds on equipment, and still use a crappy turkey fryer burner.
I need to get one of these.

I got this from Noble Grape for $169.  I couldn't find a better price with shipping.  And NG didn't charge me shipping either.

Interesting to note, these are the same burners they use in their Top Tier system.  They'll bolt right on.
