Bag squeezer
« on: September 25, 2015, 11:52:51 AM »
My first all-grain brew I squeezed the bag myself which was sticky and hot and generally less enjoyable than it sounds. This time I enlisted some mechanical help and yes, I realize how bad this posts sounds so far.  :)

I cut the end off a caulking gun, bought an extra large colander from Davidsons, and use a random bowl. For next time I'm going to find a dog dish of some sort instead of the bowl. I'd also like some way to be able to sit the colander in the pot so there is less spillage (squeezing too hard made the wort shoot everywhere). Overall though I have to say it worked quite well.

Nice! I gave up on squeezing the bag since it was always too messy for me. I just let it drip for a while into the pot. I'm sure that you get a few more efficiency points though!
