The Brewhemoth fermenter
« on: October 26, 2012, 02:54:39 PM »
In case you've always wanted an SS conical fermenter but find the $1000+ price tag to be too much:

I found the Brewhemoth (http://brewhemoth.com/brewhemoth)

This is a 22GAL SS conical fermenter that runs for about $630.

This thing is made out of 14G SS, and is pressure tested to over 100psi.

There are great accessories for it, like "the spunding valve" which looks strikingly the same as JohnQ's.

Imagine making half barrels of pressure fermented beer; naturally carbonated and kegged, ready to drink in 7-9 days.

I want one!

If anyone else is interested (I know JohnQ is), we should setup a bulk buy of these suckers sometime this fallwinter.

Check out youtube and search for brewhemoth...there are some guys that have added custom yeast catchers, sight glasses, etc for these....they are pretty awesome, especially for that price!

If you think that price is steep, check out the $825 price tag for a 7GAL blichmann conical without pressure capabilities.

hmmmm ... I'm building my house hopefully next summer and I plan on having the perfect spot for 2 of those. I won't be buying for a little while though. Should probably get the house built first

Definitely more variety with those guys Steve, but none of them hold pressure to any extent...not that I could tell anyway.

hmmm, they do have a good variety of accessories like butterfly valves that would fit on the brewhemoth.

Ah, they have brite tanks! not that I could ever make use of one, but they carry them.

Thanks for the link.

I've been eyeing the stout tanks for a while ... they're larger systems are pressure vessels and from what I understand they can customize any of these things for a very reasonable price

Good to know Jake.

One of the things i liked about the brewhemoth is the fact that they can technically be used as a brite tank as well.  They carry a corny gas port attachment for carbonation, force transfers etc.

Could use one as a fermenter and another as a brite tank, or just the one as both.
