Post by: TomFogarty on March 20, 2012, 08:01:48 PM
Ola Dubh 40 (8.0%)      Serving temperature- room temp

Glass type- cognac snifter   Beer style- Scottish brown ale

Colour- Deep chestnut

Head- velvety and long lasting, ight beige in colour.

Aroma- Malt and dark fruit, with a noticeable smokiness from the oak. Strong whiskey notes complimented by a gentle chocolate.

It is unexpectedly smooth with a deceptively light mouth feel given its similar appearance to a stout. It is slightly nutty generous in chocolate and roasted malts. Through maturation in the oak cask it developed a nice complexity, along with strong whiskey notes. Deep caramel and oak to finish.
