This? If so, they're oetiker clamps, and you can get that off. Use some muscle...or a hacksaw
I read somewhere official that the correct procedure for removing an oetiker clamp is to turn the clamping tool perindicular to the compressed clamp ear and pinch through the ear from top to bottom cutting it in the middle, that allows you to use a pair of pliers to remove the clamp.
I've had to use that method a few times when making spunding valves, and it works fine.
If it is an oetiker clamp, let me know and I'll try to remember to bring my clamping tool to the meeting. If I forget, brew's is only a block away.
