Title: Looking for a 15.5 gal Sanke
Post by: Jake on April 23, 2012, 11:44:30 PM
I'd like to pick up a sanke that I can convert into a keggle for my boil. I have a 50L SS pot with lid that I bought for 10G batches, but have realized it's too small .. I'll trade if anyone wants a decent brewpot. I believe I paid 75 bucks for it.

Let me know if you have, or know of anyone that has, one of the 15.5 gallon sankes. If I can't find one here, I plan to go to best metals to source one out in the industrial park

Sanke kegs make such nice kettles :)  I kind of seem to remember JQ saying he had a couple...but I think I was drinking, so...

You remember correctly, I got a bunch of stuff from the keg guys, and there are a couple of those left still. They have the plastic on them, but Kyle says it comes off, though if you're going to go electric, that may not be necessary.
Let me know if you want to see them.

I've not checked in a while, but those ones are definitely smaller.

Yea I have 3 50L kegs myself in my basement with the rubber on them. I'm looking for the full size 15.5 gallon = approx 58L ... the extra 8L will go a long way for 10 gallon batches

Ah, ok then, no worries...

Yeah, i'd consider selling the 20 gallon Blich MT so I could upgrade it to a 30 gallon to make the High Gravity Mashes easier. It doesn't have any elements so it could be used either way.

Would have to do the math if he were interested.

LOL the blichman is a little out of my price range. Looking for something on the cheap for the time being. Someday John, someday.
