LF: Large Fridge
« on: December 08, 2014, 11:29:35 AM »
Apparently my kegerator/fridge got scared of all the Xmas swap beer/mead, it decided to quit on me Saturday.

Anyone have any leads on a used fridge for cheap? Hoping to find something that will hold at least 3 corny kegs and a shelf for bottled brews...

RIP fridge.

Whaahooo, got it purring again!!

And by purring, I mean back to it's normal clunking and screetching noises.

I guess we're having thawed out trout for supper tomorrow to boot!

Just FYI Blisster - I have Chris Craigs beer fridge. Works and already has holes for 4 perlicks and 2 CO2 line holes in the sides. White board is attached to the freezer door. Your's if you want it...

If Blisster doesn't want the fridge I would likely take it. It would be the perfect excuse for me to get into kegging finally.

It's yours if you want it Rob... My fridge is working again now and I'm not worried about it quitting again. Stuff had fallen behind the fridge when taking down Xmas decorations last week, turns out I pulled a wire off the compressor assembly when taking them out... It just took a few days to realize the fridge wasn't working :shakes:

Glad to see you are moving to kegging... Def worth the investment!!

Well, I still have to run all the purchases I'll need to make by my wife, right before Christmas  :frazzled: but it would be great to have so I could start moving in that direction. I assume since the fridge has all the holes pre drilled I would need 4 kegs, taps etc @brew ?

That's what you need to tell the wife!

You could probably get away with buying a couple at a time and plugging the holes

I'm definitely going to start doing more research on this. I bottled 3 different beer last month and I am really tired of it. The convenience of taps would make life so much easier.

Huge? Am I going to have trouble getting this into my basement?
