Yeah, it says .18 because I'm only one of two bidders, and the other bidder must have been less than that. If someone bids $499 it will show my $500, but since I'm still not meeting the reserve, go ahead.
Since he's including free shipping from Brampton, I figured it had to be more than $500...that said, I'd happily pay $500 for the copper alone.
Yes, they are all gas fired boil kettles and a big HLT. If it's the same system I think it is (pretty sure it is), the franchise did 10 gallon partial mash recipes for everything, so they'd steep a couple pounds of grain and then throw in the extract and boil. I think it could be converted to a combination of Mash Tuns and Boil Kettles, or in the right location could be used to do the same business model. Where he was in Brampton, his rent would have been silly high. Plus, his personality was so endearing that I drove over half an hour to get to the other guy in the former chain instead of going to this guy right around the corner.
Maybe I'll send the guy an email and see if he'll tell me what his reserve is.
