Portable CO2 for Kegging
« on: June 16, 2011, 06:23:44 PM »
CO2 Jacpacs are being discontinued at Cdn tire....they're great for dispensing kegs for travel. Save your expensive regs and heavy CO2 tanks...these run off paintball style tanks...and reg is built in.

item # 58-8014-4 $19.83
i suggest calling store prior to going to see how many on hand. On the shelf is still shows $69.99 but they're on sale. Northside had about 19 this afternoon ;)

P.S. these are no longer listed on the website(discontinued)....so whatever's left in stores is what's left basically. :)

you would need to fill the tank that comes with the kit with CO2(paintball shop)......you would also need a liquid quick disconnect + hose  + picnic faucet to dispense. Along with a gas quick disconnect attached the gas line. You can either make one, or rig up the hose that comes with the jacpac by cutting off the female end and attaching a gas diconnect to the yellow hose.

Keep in mind you wouldn't want to force carb with paintball tanks...unless you have bigger ones(kit comes with 9oz). So if no big tank like a 5lb or 20lb...you "could" naturally carb and then dispense.

I'm English, so I'd likely stick with Cask Conditioned :D

You think they'd know wtf I was talking about if I just asked them for all the above?

what are you looking for? or just the basic stuff to get up and running?

beer line you can get at noble or kent(3/16 ID)....ball lock quick disconnects can be had at noble as well(not sure if in stock), but i beleive JW just did a bulk buy on stuff from Simgo....picnic tap..i might have one lying around...if not, noble again. Gas line..HD or kent should have sufficient stuff...then you'll need some hose clamps to finish things off.
