Title: Dumb Question....
Post by: ECH on March 31, 2014, 12:21:38 AM
OK...dumb question, and I probably know the answer but just wanted to make sure.

If I see a recipe, and it has ingredients to make 10 gallons, but I am only making 5 gallons, do I just halve the amount of all the ingredients? Or is there more to it than that?

It's that easy. Of course unless you wanted to modify it a bit and make it your own, or boost the abv.

Again, beersmith is great for scaling recipe.  It can even convert all grain recipes to partial mash

Ps: no dumb questions, only dumb answers ;)
