Yea I figure if you aim for around 47litres into the brewpot, you're looking at coming out around 38-40, which would be perfect. Only thing you need to look out for is the feared boil over. Not much room to play with

Yeah 47 L in a 50 L pot is definitely getting up there... But maybe do-able. Worst comes to worst... Like you said... make a 9.5 gallon batch

just a heads up for anyone else looking for one of these stands/burner, i seen one in stock today at HH in oromocto, in case someone wanted it asap and didn't want to order and have to wait.  :cheers:
