Title: Freezing Yeast
Post by: Chris Craig on October 06, 2013, 02:01:49 PM
Interesting article about freezing yeast: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/entries/freezing-yeast.html

This is something that I think I want to try some time.  I like the idea of making a large starter and freezing it for virtually free yeast.

That's very interesting, Since I made a 6 litre starter for my last batch, it would be easy to bump that up a bit and do someting like this, will definitely be reading that carefully.

If we are successful doing this, it would likely be a better solution than slanting since we'd have pitchable quantities this way.

Has anyone tried this locally? Where would you grab the vials and glycerin around here?
