I picked up a couple of packs of Kieselsol and Chitosan at the local brew shop. they come with a pack of Kieselsol and Chitosan attached together as a package. I imagine a lot of you have used these clarifiers in Wine. Most of the wine kits I've made come with both of them.
Anyone use these for clarifying beer?
I know, there are good cheap ways to clarify beer other than using filters or Wine clarifyer, but I'm pretty bored after not having alcohol in almost 40 days, and I'm just frigging around with different experiments...

I want to get Biofine Clear. I read about it online but not alot of people sell it around these parts. I think the grain supplier may sell it in bulk
It's a vegan product that works well with irish moss ... alot of micros are using this combo and getting good results from what I read.

Used those in Mead a couple of times, not in beer though.

I bought 2 packs as they were cheap...might as well try it and see how it goes.

If you really are that bored, the BrewStrong podcast on finings is well worth a listen (I tend to shove these on when I'm working):
