Title: Caramel Flavour
Post by: DandyMason on September 28, 2011, 11:07:25 AM
Wondering if anyone has ever heard of or has any experience in using real caramel to flavour beer? Like tossing it in the secondary or something.... I am just curious! Love a nice caramel flavour and think it would also smell delicious..

The flavour does change a bit after its fermented (sweetness goes away). Personally, I find that using dark crystal malt will give alot of caramel.
