Title: Brewtorials
Post by: Richard on April 16, 2011, 04:21:55 PM
Ok so it's been thrown around a little that we do something a little more practical during meetings, after the "Official Business" and before the "Definitely Not An Excuse To Drink". I'd like to start by suggesting that these run for about an hour, are specific to a single technique (read: not 5 hours of "my brew-day"), and come with some kind of reference material (likely 1 page or less) of take-home information.

Anyone got some topic suggestions? I'll be adding some once I've had a chance to think about a couple of things.

First and formost should be how to determine what off flavors are and how to tell what caused them

I was thinking about getting one of those taste/smell kits from the BJCP. Would probably be useful to source a good reference.
