Just wanted to show an example of a beforeafter filtration of a light ale.
the beer was filtered with the cheapest of el cheapo filters, that quite frankly I'm going to throw out here pretty soon. It does a good job, but the setup and cleanup is rediculous.
I know clarity can be achieved in a lot of ways, but from the results I got with the filter, it's convinced me to to screw around with cheap setups or "pretty" clear beer. I'm going to invest an a quality beerwine filter system.

If you ever filter an IPA, please report back on how much the flavour/aroma profile is affected - been wondering about that for a while.

I will Richard. I've been wondering the same, but have only tried it on light beers....and a stout. The mouthfeel was different for sure with the stout...definitely better non filtered.
I also noticed that most of the yeast was pulled from the beer too. didn't carbonate much in the bottles.
I would consider filtering an IPA, and transfer to a keg with a nylon bag of hops in it....
I'll let you know.
