Title: Allpine beer experiment - "tastes like forest"
Post by: Kyle on June 05, 2012, 11:31:10 AM
I'm going to make a pale ale with Chinook and Cascade, then planning to dry-hop with Chinook and pine needles, has anyone used pine needles before, if so how much, how were they prepared, and how long did you let them sit?

I'm thinking of steeping 1 dry oz of new-growth needles for a week in vodka and then adding to secondary.

nope! I've tried spruce in the past, I'm interested in trying pine now.
