I'm really impressed with the quality of this rig. I cannot wait to toss my next beer in this bad boy. :drink:

Beauty!

Make sure you close that valve before you toss the wort in there.  ;D

I'm sure you read the instructions; wash this well with PBW or something prior to first use. There is oil on there and in there.
SS Brewtech is not crazy about people using oxy or anything chlorine based. It also may fade the gallon markings inside.

LOL next time I shall close the valve before the photo ;)

Thanks for the cleaning info I'm going to tackle that this evening.

Dishsoap is not the devil in homebrewing. If you use dishsoap to clean of that layer of machine oil, just rinse it really well.
Otherwise use a recommended cleaner.

Nice fermenter! Hows the weight compared to glass carboy?

It wouldn't hurt to passivate that as well. It may be fine initially but over time you'd want that reassurance.

She's heavy and will be with 5G of beer in it. It has large handles on the side that should make it easier to carry, however. I am looking into a cart to push it back into my room.

Really well made which adds to the weight.
