I have a license for Beersmith 2 and BeerTools.  There are pros and cons to both, but I was curious what everybody else uses.

I used the free version of BeerTools for years and eventually bought the Pro version. The software is not intuitive to learn, but once you get over the learning curve, it is very good for my purposes.

I just use brewmate myself for saving my recipes. Plus it saves everything in xml format so I can edit some of the system files, should I need to add grain types and stuff that aren't there by default. Plus its free, and I'm cheap like that.

I have no idea how it compares to the other ones but this one is free and does the trick...

Chris, I'm curious to know the reason why you use beertools if you have BS?

Actually it's pretty sweet; Beer Calculus got bought out and became BrewToad:

Although I often (usually) just wing it based on experience.

I bought it a few months ago.  I was getting tired of how ugly and slow Beersmith was, but I haven't moved to it yet.  There are still a lot of missing features.

Beersmith lite for the iphone just got updated.  you can now edit recipes on your phone.   Much more useful than before.

I was looking at this last night.  It's actually a new app.  At least on Android it separate from the Lite version.  As a reference on brew day, I think it's fine, but this guy has absolutely no eye for design.  I know I certainly don't want my Android apps to look like iPhone apps :) 

On Android you can upgrade from Lite to the full mobile version for about $5, but I'm saving my money.
