Hey everyone, sorry I havent been online for a while. I just got back from a month in Australia last night. I had been touring around the whole country, moving every few days and it was really hard to find internet access. Im just letting you know im still alive and will be attending the meetings once I get back into the swing of things. As for the beer in Australia, it blows. The first night I was there me and a friend went out drinking and I was introduced to $9 pints, which were actually a lot smaller then real pints. All the big name brews like Carelton, Victoria Bitter are as bad as Coors or Moosehead. There are very few craft brews to be found, and they are as bad as the big brews. Cants wait to get some proper drinking done now that I am back.

Hi Thomas, good thing you're back, the beer supply has definitely improved of late, and we've got some new people.

Great to hear from you T!
Try and make it to the next meeting (I think it's going to be at Jake's).
It's going to be a competition featuring IPA and IIPA styles, just what you might need to quench that thirst!

Fuck ya IPA contest! plenty of coopers down there, but man is it ever bad. It's all bottle fermented, but that doesn't mean it's good. I'm currently sitting at the grad house drinking a nice pompous SOB, one of my favorite beers, and it's all the better after drinking Australian swill for a month.
