Does anyone have experience with a beer gun? How real is the threat of oxidation if you don't purge with co2 first?

The reason I ask is that the gun came with a threaded female fitting for the co2 connection. I don't have a dual gauge regulator on my tank, and my manifold only has barbs that have a larger diameter than the hoses that came with the gun. I'm wondering if I need to buy a dual gauge regulator...

Thoughts?

No need for the dual guage regulator for the beer gun. I have an extra port on my manifold that I used for the beer gun. You should be able to grab a brass fitting at home depot that fits the gun and has the appropriate barb size.

I removed the barb on the gun, and replaced with a ball-lock gas post from a keg, so it's super easy to hook up the gas to it.

So instead of using the gas line that came with the gun, you installed a ball lock post on the butt end of the gun and then hook your gas coupler up to it?
