OK, so anyone who showed up to the meeting yesterday for more than two minutes got a taste of the BD "Sink the Bismarck". I'm going to the UK again shortly, so will be picking up some "Tactical Nuclear Penguin" for a similar taster (and honestly, I'll probably grab another bottle of StB for myself, 'cause that's well up there in "holy shit this is delicious" territory for me).

(edit: we should see if we can persuade them to send us some in the post, assuming that's legal. I haven't checked)

Anyways; I was thinking we should have a "wish list" for beers people really want to try, so that if people are going to other countries (or even provinces) we have an idea of what people would like to see brought back. There is of course no obligation here, but I think we all like to share :D

Post them here. I'll start:

DogFishHead 120 Minute IPA.

That's a great idea, if possible, add a "known to be available in" list and then when anyone goes to a jurisdiction that they are known to be in, then they can take a special looksee.

I see the DogFishHead 120 minute IPA is released in April and again in July, and there is a distributor in Maine, so I'll have a look on the 18th when I'm in Bangor.

On a related note, I got an email today from a co-worker in Moncton who was recently hooked up with a group there that do speciality beer buys out of Quebec.  I've asked for more details assuming this is something others might be interested in.

Will update when details become available.

Apparantly DogFish has had some problems of late...here's the email I got from the place I found...

QuoteSorry...I do not have any in stock.
I don't know if you follow the Dogfish or not, but they had to throw out the last two batches of 120 IPA because something was wrong with them.  We have not been able to get any in over a year...Good Luck!
Thanks,

Anyone remember the Sebago Full Throttle IIPA John shared at his place, I'd like some of that!

I have a friend in Louisiana who frequently raves about Abita Turbodog, I've always wanted to try it. Some of their other brews look good as well.

JW: Pretty much any (I*)IPA will likely be well-received, and reimbursed. I'd be interested to try a fresh DFH 60/90, as I think the ones I had were somewhat stale to say the least.

found some DFH60 but it looked like really old stock, so i thought i'd continue searching.
can't find the sebago DIPA yet.
the wine and beer store on state street is very nice, many belgians and a good variety of local stuff, just neither of the above.
he said the DFH is really hard to come by right now, they're having a heck of a time brewing enough to keep up with demand.
just picked up a sampler dozen of smuttynose, looks interesting.
