Thanks Rob, I'll let you know if I need them.

@JamesC - great call. Good excuse to grab a six pack.

Thanks buddy. Never would have happened without your encouragement, so it's kind of like you won too. Except you didn't. Just me.

How did you place @Two Wheeler ? I think I tried your ESB and I remember enjoying it.

Two Wheeler

Thanks Rob!

Full results and feedback aren't released yet, but I didn't place. I'll update when/if I get a score.

Hey @robcoombs , my ESB scored 32, 33, 34 of 50 by three judges. I was pretty happy with that. @DeMerch 's won with a 39 and 40.

I've attached the score sheets for anyone who hasn't seen them before. This was a good experience, and the feedback is great. Going forward I'm going send off to as many competitions as I can. I think it's a neat aspect of the hobby.

I think you should definitely be happy with that! I'm interested in entering for the next competition. Are you submitting a beer for Garrison's robust porter competition?

Two Wheeler

Hey Rob, definitely going to brew a robust porter for Garrison. Sounds like the gala down there is a lot of fun!

Also - planning on sending off to this comp by the end of the week... happy to share shipping if anyone is interested. http://homebrewers.ca/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/CABA_AAA_2014_Rules.pdf

I'd love to submit a beer for this but everything I have is in 500ml or larger bottles. I'll keep the size restriction in mind for future bottling sessions.

Roger

I wonder if larger bottles would be disqualified? Seems odd you'd think they would welcome larger samples.

robcoombs

Yeah, it states specifically for 350-355 ml bottles. I agree with you Roger, I can't see why it would matter either way.
