I put up a 20+ foot tripod because the ground is too rocky to dig for posts. I think my neighbours are going to think I'm starting an Indian reserve.  :o

You're gonna have a hop teepee! You should set up and brew a batch in there this fall after harvest, Hop Teepee Harvest ale.

So in the last two weeks vandals have knocked over, cut the lines, stolen a no trespassing sign, destroyed my motion sensor light and alarm and last night when they came back for the fifth time they were kind enough to bring my sign back with a bunch of colorful notes on it. I've stayed up several nights until 3AM but the only time they come is when I'm too exhausted to stay up that late or its raining. The police aren't much help at all and tell me the vandals have more rights than I do!
Any suggestions? That wont land me in jail that is.  :shakes: akimbo

Put up a couple of (well hidden) motion sensor infrared cameras and a few more signs to coax them.

When you have the money shots of your visitors print them and plaster them over all the neighborhood mailboxes.
Their parents will be so proud of them.
Give a man a beer and he'll waste an hour, teach him how to brew beer and he'll waste a lifetime.

Anyone know of any I could borrow?

Just talked to a hunter friend of mine who uses trail cameras around his hunting sites.  he said that unless you use a Black flash IR trail camrea, the will see the camera when the picture is snapped and then will of course steal it.  He said they are in the $100-$150 range.

I'm kinda broke as of late so I need to borrow one or two trail cams.

Cut a bucket in half, turn it upside down and cut two slits in the bottom like the straw hole would be in a fast food beverage cover and bury it bottom up and conceal it with dirt right in front of a new No Trespassing sign. You'll hear them when they step in it and are trying to pull their leg back out. And if you don't, keep an eye out for somebody with a limp...lol

Hops are all dead so no hops from the tripod this year. Maybe next year if I can keep vandals away.

Same here brew. Some minor browning on mine and they are feeling pretty dry. Was almost thinking about picking some cones from the top and making a wet hope pale ale tonight.
