If they had any Belma left I'd be all over this. Unfortunately gotta wait for the harvest in the fall...

Made a belma pale ale...very light on the hops though...but tastes very nice!

It takes quite a bit of belma as its not very strong. I dry hop 5G with 4oz and its comes out awesome.

I have 2 full pounds of belma myself still sealed ... if anyone wants one pound of it at cost also, let me know and it's yours

Good to know brew.  I was quite sparing with my belma as the AA% is 12+ and I was going for an easy drinking pale for guests during the summer....it came out every weak on the hops...I dry hopped with 1oz in 5G and could hardly tell the difference...

Strange for a hop with such a high AA%

Jake thanks I will take you up on that - I'll use a pound from you and another from Chris before Christmas for sure...

fakr yeah the pellet I think are listed at just under 10% and the leaf at over 12% - not sure why... I've only used the pellet. Definitely nice when you throw a half pound at a batch (4oz later in the boil and 4oz dry).

yup, I'll try that Brew.
The the higher AA%, it makes me think these hops are old and lost a bunch of AA.  I've thrown in the same amount of 6%AA and got a hoppier beer....
Ah well, now I know.

I'd jump on another hopsdirect order, but I "found" 7 pounds of hops last week that I didn't even know I had....so I'm going to hold back on ordering silly amounts of hops until most of these are gone.

Jake: if you still have a spare pound of Belma I would take it.  If you're going to the brewer's bash I would pick it up there if it's ok

Jake

Sorry Jamie but looks like Brew already spoke for it above.

Thanks Jake - I guess Chris was going to sell me his so I think I'll be OK with 1 lbs for now. I'll order more this fall...
