On the Boreal theme...

It occured to me that I really like piney hops,

I wonder about adding some pine needles in the final fifteen minutes of boil.

Um. Check it's not poisonous, but sounds good? I'd maybe run to 5 minutes just to be sure you don't extract anything overpoweringly strong-tasting.

Only other concern is not having used either pine or spruce before (i'm assuming) you might have difficulty figuring out which flavour notes came from which source.

But I'm mostly teaching grandma to suck eggs here :P
