Interesting...these look exactly like greatbreweh.com pumps and it's a subsidiary of OBK...

And all of the above look remarkably similar to something I got for less than twenty bucks a piece:

nice find richard.  At that price, you could buy 4 or 5, and have a few spare in case one dies.

I didn't find it - someone else did - but still, they're pretty nifty.

just bought 3 for $55 shipped.

That's a great find.  I have some uses for them, like a water back for my tower tap, recirculating water for cooling a fermenter, and just as a spare for if a brew pump breaks down.

Only thing is I have to wait over a month to receive them from China....

Yeah it's more like 2 weeks - pretty good on that front. Can't argue with free shipping ;)

honestly, I might just thread these directly into the ball valves on all my kettles....
Damn they are cheap!  Thanks again Richard!

I wonder if the suction and discharge connections are NPT or BSP threads?

Richard

They're not tapered, so I'm thinking neither.

BSPP?

Yeah, could be that. I'm fucking hopeless at this stuff.

Difference with these ones is they're plastic threads, so as long as you only add your QD's once, you can make it work a lot more easily.
Just picked up some of them, they'll be at the PMB before my next trip.

Quote from: "Chris Craig"BPT is untapered.

There are both actually, parallel and tapered.  The parallel threads rely on an o-ring to seal and tapered on the taper iteself.

I have a hunch that they aren't NPT.

These pumps don't have a 1/2" thread...they are more like 3/4" but doesn't matter, at that price, I'll pick up some reducers from PA or HD.  Throw on some teflon tape, and like john said, just thread the fittings together the once, and you're good.
