Noble grape has co2 tanks for sale... http://noblegrape.ca/other/tanks-co2/

5lb $99.99
10lb $149.99
15lb $159.99
20lb $189.99

Pricey... but here are the exchange/fill prices...

5lb $24.99
10lb $29.99
15lb $34.99
20lb $39.99

I cant remember what Glen charged last time I got my 20 lber filled but im pretty sure 40 is cheaper. The only catch is the tank needs to be purchased from Noble grape to exchange for a new one. But it probably wouldnt take long to make your money back on refills.

Dan, do you know what the turnaround time is on the refill?

fakr

the refill price is excellent.  brunswick fyr charges a little over $60 for a 20lbs refill.

I talked to a guy on the phone today... He said right now they always have 5 and 10 lbers in stock in Freddy, but when I told him i was interested in a 20 lber it sounded like there were plenty of options to have 20 lb tanks on hand in town too... so im guessing it would just be a matter of heading up and exchanging. If I do end up getting a 20 lber, and I cant see why I wouldnt with the price for refill, Im just going to try to make sure they have a full tank on hand... You never know when you will run out.

Good job Dan. I understand now. NG has the pre-filled tanks on hand. I hear the CO2 in Halifax sells for cheaper. They're smart to do it that way.

Got a 5lb tank at obk for $80 and a 20lb tank at Simgo for $125

This is Kennedy's pricing (pre-tax, same comparison as above)
5lb $18.00
10lb $30.00
15lb $42.00
20lb  $54.00

He was selling a (full) refurbished 5lb tank the other day for around $65. It was cast iron but fine for what we use it for.

Atlantic Fire & Safety: (pre-tax, same comparison as above)
5lb $25
10lb
15lb
20lb $65

I got a 20lb tank with new valve and hydrostatic tested for $157 last week (and it was filled).
